GOVERNMENT.
The Brown dictatorship rule through fear model of decision making has been disastrous for our country and our Democracy, Gordon Brown should be prevented from selling or disposing of any more national assets, any behind the scenes or undeclared deals or agreements Gordon Brown has made with David Cameron, Nick Clegg, energy companies or oil companies should be made public before the General Election, once elected, the new Government should return to a board room / cabinet styled way of decision making dedicated to honouring its pledges to the electorate and involve all MPs in debate within a 21st century dynamic re organised house of commons that performs its legislative duties during social hours and does not resemble a public school debating society.
MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT.
New members of parliament should be in no doubt that they will enter the House of Commons to serve the people who elected them, "not to line their pockets or become adept at taking tax payers money", a member should have one job, one salary, one office allowance a suitable travel card and an overnight London allowance payable only when the house is in session, why pay Mps mortgage interest payments for 12 months when the House only sits for six months, all MPs office expenses should be published in detail and on line regardless of data protection concerns because they are spending public money, Mps should be given executive oversight powers where ever public money is being spent within their constituency and shared powers within their county, we don't need Mayors we need accountability and transparency measures that will control local and county budgets, in depth detail of all local and county council income and expenditure should be published on line, business rates and council tax rates should be reviewed and where possible revised down.
LEGISLATION.
We have been bombarded with legislation by Labour over the past decade or so and a review of current legislation should be held post haste after the next election, some laws should be repealed, some watered down and some enhanced to protect our sovereignty, our people and our way of life, new legislation should mirror election pledges, penalties for the abuse of public office and public money should be harsh, enshrined in law and robustly enforced, a strong new Government should consign Labour's upside policies to the bin, people suffering from a terminal disease should not have to travel abroad to die, abortion for abortion sake is wrong, dangerous people should be openly identified or locked up, children should be robustly protected from harm and exploitation, our prison system should be a deterrent, life in prison should mean life and an informed nation wide debate regarding the restoration of the death penalty should begin and much more, the old saying goes:- "damned if you do and damned if you don't", I say," do and be damned" at least that way we will have a safer society to live in.
HOUSING.
There are many boarded up houses that could be put to good use, just do it, involve communities in these rundown areas, bring them back to life, create local jobs.
